An Advocate for Children, Families, and Our Community
Elizabeth brings a wide array of experience in political, educational and community advocacy. She is a strong communicator and works well with bi-partisan groups to meet the needs of Arizona residents.
Elizabeth highly values education. Her father, a Ph.D. in education, served as Superintendent of Schools in the New Riegel, Crestline and Twinsburg School Districts in Ohio and also in the Ajo School District in Arizona. Elizabeth’s mother, M.A. in Library Science, served as a school librarian.
Elizabeth attended the Ohio State University and moved to Arizona in 1981. Her professional experience includes working for the Arizona State Office of Constituent Engagement under both Governor Janet Napolitano (D) and Governor Jan Brewer (R). Elizabeth also worked for three years with the Maricopa County Democratic Party.
Elizabeth was a Girl Scout Leader for thirteen (13) years and a recruiter for the Neighborhood Service Team for four (4) years. She is also a volunteer reader at her grandchildren’s elementary school.
Elizabeth is the oldest of seven (7) children, the mother of two (2) daughters and the grandmother of five (5). She knows the importance of public schools to strengthen communities and she will fight to fully-fund our schools.
Elizabeth maintains a life-long commitment of advocating for children, families and communities. She will be your voice in the Arizona State Senate.
